We believe that we have lots to celebrate about this island we call home.  As a result, you’ll find festivals and events in tribute to song, theatre, film, food, and crafts.  There are hundreds of celebrations and events around the island where you can celebrate traditional music and culture while having a good time.

Some of our favorites are the Brigus Blueberry Festival, where you can listen to local music, buy locally produced crafts, and enjoy local “moose burgers” from the vendors for lunch.  We never miss the George Street festival, home of the biggest street party in Newfoundland.  The folk festival in Bannerman Park is an excellent place to kick back and listen to some of the best talent the island has to offer.

There are very talented actors around as well.  Take in the Shakespeare By the Sea festival and Rising Tide Theatre’s Season in the Bight theatre festival.
