There is a beautiful sandy beach at Northern Bay Sands, only 4kms away. A small river flows into the Atlantic, while its rocky banks form a natural freshwater pool. This is a great place for beach combing, or to just sit back and relax. Take a break and have a picnic with lunch from the beach take-out. After lunch, take a hike around the rugged landscapes.

You could also visit Salmon Cove Sands, 20 km away in the opposite direction. Salmon Cove Sands is a sheltered beach with a grassy picnic area and boardwalk. There are many photogenic rock formations and seabirds.
